Adding
Xenon Bulbs HID kits to your car is an easy 2 hour process. Here we install
a 6000k 9005/HB4 Kit in a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
1. Remove the headlight assembly from the car. Most cars require removal of the front bumper to access the bottom screw, and don't forget to disconnect the battery.
2. Inspect your Xenon Bulbs HID Kit to make sure it's complete. |
3. Remove the stock bulb. Usually a metal clip is used to hold the bulb down or the bulb simply screws in place. |
4. Test fit the HID bulb. DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB'S SURFACE, oil from your hand could cause the bulb to shatter when ignited.
5. Our headlight backing cap needed a hole to be drilled for the wires to pass through. |
6. Using the supplied rubber grommet, it is placed in the drilled hole. |
7. This is the rubber grommet in place, this makes the backing cap moisture proof. |
8. Use a sharp probe to poke four holes thorugh the grommet and thread the bulb wires through.
9. Here are the wires that pass through the grommet. |
10. Plug the ballast into the bulb wires as well as the stock HB4 power supply. |
11. The igniter then plugs into the ballast and is held on top with double tape. |
12. Use the provided zip tie to secure the igniter/ballast assembly.
13. Find a secure spot near the fender and screw the entire assembly in place. |
14. Plug the battery back in and start the car, turn on your headlights and enjoy a brighter perspective with your new Xenon HID kit. |
